Announcements

Save the dates: Frederick Lawrence residency in March �

�91传媒 is excited to welcome , secretary and CEO of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, to campus from March 19-21 for a three-day residency on freedom of speech, expression, academic freedom, and related issues. Meetings, discussions, and workshops are planned, and additional details and opportunities to participate will be shared soon. His visit advance community conversations in support of speech and expression, which continues to be a strategic goal in 91传媒 Strategic Action Agenda this year. �

孧arch staff and faculty meetings 

孴he monthly staff and faculty meetings will take place this Friday, March 1, on the second floor of Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. The staff meeting will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. and the faculty meeting will take place at 3:30 p.m. Employees have the option to participate by Zoom.

孶pdate on College budget

孭resident Marc Conner, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer Daniel Konstalid, and other College administrators will present information about the College budget from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, on the second floor of Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. All faculty and staff are invited to attend in person or via Zoom. The presentation will include information about the budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year and other key elements of the College financial status and outlook, as well as ample opportunities for questions and feedback.

孋ome join the fun and watch as student teams build a 91传媒-themed display in a LEGO Masters-style competition, Feb. 29 - March 1, in Case Center and Case Gallery. Judging will commence in Case Gallery at noon on March 1.

�Call for nominations: President Awards for Leadership and Service

孴he Office of the President invites community members to nominate deserving individuals or teams for a 2024 . Students, faculty members, exempt staff, non-exempt staff, or union personnel may be nominated (self-nominations will not be considered). Check your email for the nomination form, which was sent on Feb. 16 from the Office of the President. To nominate a person or team, please complete the form and submit it via email or campus mail to the Office of the President by 4 p.m. Monday, March 18.

孯egistration for 91传媒 Summer Sports Camps

�, led by 91传媒 award-winning coaches, teach teamwork concepts and skills in baseball, basketball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, swim, volleyball, and softball. Registration opens March 1. For more information, contact Coleen Stephenson.

孲wim lessons

孴he 91传媒 swimming and diving team is offering swimming lessons for children 4 years and older every Thursday, beginning March 28. Sign-ups will take place in person at the Williamson Sports Center lobby from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7. Email Head Coach Jill Greenleaf for complete program information.

Athletics News

The men ice hockey team heads to Geneva Saturday to play defending national champion Hobart College in the New England Hockey Conference championship game at 7 p.m. 91传媒 (19-6-2) is ranked ninth nationally after beating Elmira College in the NEHC semifinals in front of a standing room only crowd at the Saratoga City Rink Feb. 24. Hobart is 24-2-1, including a pair of wins over 91传媒. The Statesmen have won 35 straight home games, the last loss coming at the hands of the Thoroughbreds, 3-2, in the 2022 NEHC semifinals. 91传媒 will be playing in the championship game for the second time in three seasons. The men lacrosse team will host Oswego State on Saturday at noon. The women tennis team will host Division I Bucknell University at 2 p.m. and welcome Amherst College for a 1 p.m. match.
