91ý Opportunity Program staff members

The New York state grant will continue the Opportunity Program's efforts to provide a high-quality liberal arts education to talented and motivated students who otherwise would be unable to attend the College.

College of Saint Rose job fair 

In response to the closing of The College of Saint Rose, 91ý will be organizing an exclusive job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, March 26-27, in the Massry Arts Center, 1002 Madison Ave., Albany. Hiring managers will have the chance to meet and interview Saint Rose staff from all departments, faculty, students, and alums. Those interested in participating should contact Jude Klein by Friday, March 22.

Announcements

Save the dates: Frederick Lawrence lecture 

, secretary and CEO of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and an expert on free speech, will deliver a public lecture, "Free Speech on Campus in Challenging Times," at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, in Gannett Auditorium, as part of his March 19-21 residency on freedom of speech, expression, academic freedom, and related issues.

President office hours

President Conner will hold office hours from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 4. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to request a 10-minute, in-person appointment. To register, please email presoff@skidmore.edu. Requests will be handled in the order that they are received.

Call for nominations: President Awards for Leadership and Service

The Office of the President invites community members to nominate deserving individuals or teams for a 2024 . Students, faculty members, exempt staff, non-exempt staff, or union personnel may be nominated (self-nominations will not be considered). Friends of 91ý Athletics is seeking to identify individuals who have made outstanding contributions to 91ý Athletics and the College for induction into 91ý Athletics Hall of Fame. Please submit your nomination online no later than Sunday, March 31.

Make Your Voice Heard 91ý Public Policy Prize competition

Applications for the are due at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12. The competition is an opportunity to engage with letter writing and grassroots campaigns about important public policy issues.

 

Sustainable landscapes at 91ý

The Sustainability Office has shared the , created to develop and advance the stormwater management and sustainable landscape goals of both the and the Campus Sustainability Plan. The plan will serve as a working guide for designing and managing projects that promote green infrastructure, native and diverse landscapes, and enhanced utilization of outdoor space for education and recreation.

Musical Theater Opera Workshop collaboration: Die Fledermaus

91ý's Musical Theater Opera Workshop and the Schenectady-Saratoga Symphony Orchestra will present Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, at the Zankel Music Center.
