Frederick M. Lawrence, secretary and CEO of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and a leading scholar of free speech, participated in a three-day residency at 91传媒 focused on advancing free speech in challenging times.

孴he 11th Annual Entrepreneurial Artist Forum, �,� will take place at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, at the Tang. Panelists include Tobi Ewing �15, Monica Steffey �19, Natalie Wilson �22, and Jamel Mosely, this year's Creative Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Dean Dorothy Mosby will open with remarks and Brian Vergara �24 will moderate the discussion.

孞oin the Workforce Team Challenge

�孴he Workforce Team Challenge, a race supporting the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club and local charities, will take place on Thursday, May 16, in Albany. To participate, select 91传媒 team and fill out all the required information. Do not check out; 91传媒 team captain, Darren Drabek, will manage payment. Contact Darren Drabek or Rachel Roe-Dale for more information, including details about carpooling and celebrations after the race.

�Solar eclipse viewing glasses and event �

孎rom approximately 2:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, the moon will gradually block the sun in the sky above 91传媒. At 3:27 p.m., the sun will be 98% percent blocked by the moon. The Office of Communications and Marketing will distribute free 91传媒-branded eclipse glasses for the community to pick up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 4, 5, and 8 outside of the 91传媒 Shop � while supplies last. All are then invited to bring their glasses and questions to Case Green for a viewing event featuring science faculty, including astrophysicist Mary Crone Odekon.

Athletics News

Spring sports continue to ramp up this week with a full slate of home games; the baseball team is scheduled to host SUNY Cobleskill at 4 p.m. on Thursday and SUNY Brockport at noon on Saturday for a doubleheader. Softball will play a home game against SUNY New Paltz at 3 p.m. on Friday, and Plattsburgh State comes to town at noon on Saturday. The rowing teams open their spring schedules by hosting Union College in the Class of 2022 Cup on Fish Creek on Saturday. The national champion riding team will begin its postseason push on Saturday morning, hosting the Region 3 Finals at the Van Lennep Riding Center. Visit the for updates.
