Announcements

Admissions lunch with prospective students 

孎aculty and staff are invited to help showcase 91传媒 caring and vibrant educational community and join the Admissions team for lunch and casual conversation with prospective students and their families from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. No RVSP is needed; simply check in at noon in the Atrium, and you'll receive a lunch ticket and name tag.

孡ast day to request early arrival

孴oday is the last day for departments sponsoring students (athletes, peer mentors, student workers, and others) to request early arrival housing for the fall term. Please send requests to Residential Life, including a list of sponsored students with student ID and anticipated arrival date. Students requesting an early arrival must have a fall 2024 on-campus housing assignment. 

孲tudent employment for academic year deadline 

孲tudent Employment requests that those hiring student employees for the 2024-25 academic year create their requisitions and hire their employees in Oracle before Friday, Aug. 16. Submissions after this date may result in a delay in processing time. 

孎YE T-shirt-making event: Call for volunteers 

孴丑别 Office of Campus Life and Engagement is hosting an event on belonging and self-expression during first-year orientation, centering 91传媒 philosophy that Creative Thought Matters. Faculty and staff are invited to participate by designing a shirt representing a meaningful aspect of their identity (ex: 淣eurodivergent Thought Matters) to wear during the event, 7 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 1.

Intergroup Relations workshop 

孖ntergroup Relations, a program that explores dialogue within a social justice context, invites faculty and staff to participate in a Zoom workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug 26, and Tuesday, Aug. 27, with Monita Thompson and Charles Behling of the University of Michigan. 孌ining Services summer hours

孴丑别 Spa is open daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A breakfast menu is available from 8 to 11 a.m.; hot soup and a deli menu are available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Grab-and-go items are sold in Burgess Caf茅. More information about Dining Services' hours of operation is available on the .

孭op-up grill 

孌ining Services offers a pop-up grill on Porter Plaza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The grill menu features hot dogs, burgers (both beef and plant-based), and grilled chicken sandwiches. A combo meal includes your choice of a grill item, two sides, and a beverage for $7.99. In the event of rain, the pop-up grill will be relocated inside The Spa. 寣

寣Summer Bulletin publication schedule

孴hrough Aug. 21, the Bulletin will be distributed to faculty and staff only. Submit announcements and events by completing the online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Submissions to the Faculty-Staff Achievements section are not accepted over the summer. Please email swb@skidmore.edu if you have questions. 

孍mployee appreciation sale

孴丑别 will be hosting its annual employee appreciation sale with 35% off all items (except technology, textbooks, and health and beauty) between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. 91传媒 ID cards are required at checkout.
