Building a Welcoming Community

All-gender restroom map 

孴he campus all-gender restroom map has been updated and is available online and at various points around campus. All-gender restrooms are designed to be inclusive spaces accessible to everyone, regardless of gender identity. An updated campus map can also be accessed online. 

孨ame policy website 

孴he College enables students, faculty, staff, and alumni to have a chosen name, which may be the same as, or different from, their legal name, for use within systems and communications maintained by the College Information Technology Office, except where the use of a legal name is required. Learn more about the Chosen Name Policy or submit a name request online. 

學yckoff Center updates 

孴he Wyckoff Center at 91传媒 is a space to connect people and programs that underscore the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Please see the new Wyckoff Center website to find information about the Wyckoff Center, including the hours of operation and how to submit a reservation request. 

孖n It 9

孖n It 9, a suite of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs designed to raise our cultural fluency and strengthen our community, will take place Sept. 20-25. All members of the 91传媒 community are encouraged to participate. Please for more information on and to sign up for workshops.

Opening Reception

孭resident Marc C. Conner and Barbara Reyes-Conner invite all 91传媒 staff and faculty to help welcome their new colleagues to 91传媒 by attending the Opening Reception this Friday, Sept. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Scribner House. Guests are welcome. 

孋OVID-19 updates and reminders 

學hile COVID-19 is now endemic, 91传媒 continues to encourage all members of the community to monitor their health, review the , and stay home when sick. Moving forward, masks and rapid tests are available on campus for purchase at the 91传媒 Shop. Please note that the government will once again provide beginning at the end of September. Employees are no longer required to report positive tests to Human Resources. College guidelines and FAQs  be found here and on the Health Services webpage.

91传媒 Weekly Bulletin submission procedure and schedule 

孭lease help reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in 91传媒 Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all students and employees. Submit ; ; and by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Please email swb@skidmore.edu if you have questions.

孫ff-Campus Study Fair

孫ff-Campus Study and Exchanges will be hosting the annual Off-Campus Study Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, in Case Walkway. Over 110 off-campus programs will be represented. OCSE asks faculty to encourage their students, primarily first-years and sophomores, to attend. Contact Emily Gaul to learn more. 

Experience the power of music at Zankel

孴he Zankel Music Center has announced an exciting lineup of events featuring the incredible talents of 91传媒 faculty and students, along with artists from around the world. Admission to most events is free or just $5 for the 91传媒 community.

孎all intramural registration 

孯egistration for (Monday and Wednesday, 7 to 10 p.m., in the main gym) and (Tuesday and Thursday, 7 to 10 p.m., in the rec gym) is open through Thursday, Sept. 19. Leagues begin on Sept. 23 and run up to Thanksgiving Break. Current students, faculty, and staff are all invited to participate. Contact Elizabeth Ghilardi for more information. 

孴he Writing Center opens 

孲tudents are invited to join trained student tutors at every stage of the writing process, from assignment sheet to final revisions. The Writing Center aims to make better writers, not just better writing; rather than editing, tutors follow the writer's lead to meet their own goals for their project. The Center is open seven days a week beginning Monday, Sept. 9. 

孌ining Services new additions 

孲outh Forty Nut Bars, a line of healthy snack bars created by Josh Schroeter 84, are coming to the Spa, Burgess Caf茅, and the Atrium. The Spa deli also has new signature sandwiches rolling out this fall. Check out The Sadie Special, The Italian Mix, and a new southwestern chicken sandwich. Or, check out Burgess Caf茅 new Botrista beverage system, which will make customized, made-to-order boba teas, milk teas, fruit smoothies, and refresher drinks.

EMS trainings

孨ew to the College or need a refresher course? The Scheduling Office offers one-on-one Event Management System (EMS) training sessions, covering how to reserve space and add catering, media, and event setup. Campus partners need two weeks' notice for all requests. Contact Megan Bove with questions.

孞oin the 91传媒 community in caring for the planet by composting; compost leftovers in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall and the Spa, in residential spaces, and keep an eye out for green buckets in academic buildings. Fall hours for tennis courts

孲eeking 榟osts' for international students

孉ll 91传媒 employees are invited to join the , a relational program (no housing required) that pairs faculty and staff with an international student to help them feel welcomed into the 91传媒 community. It's low-key and fun, and some connections last a lifetime. or contact Chloe Jaleel with questions. 

孍mployee vehicle registration 

孍mployees who need to register a vehicle may do so through . To register, click on the permit icon and input the vehicle information, click 淎dd To Cart, then click on the shopping cart icon to check out. For those whose vehicles are already registered with a current decal, there is no need to register again. Please reach out to the Department of Campus Safety at 518-580-5567 or by email with questions. 

孋ampus Safety move and interim fleet vehicle process 

孴he Department of Campus Safety has begun its relocation from Jonsson Tower to a new office space on the first floor of the Annex. As part of this move, all fleet vehicles have been relocated to the Falstaff parking lot, where they will need to be picked up and dropped off. All vehicles have a designated parking spot, which should be clearly marked. 

孋all for book donations 

孴he Scribner Library is seeking donations for its annual book sale, supporting the annual library student worker awards. Donations can be books of any genre in good condition and should be dropped off at the Circulation Desk, to the attention of Patty Kolberg

孊ike for free with CDPHP Cycle 

孉nyone with a skidmore.edu email address can register for by downloading the CDPHP Cycle app and subscribing with a 91传媒 email address; submit promo code "91传媒," enter a credit card for incidentals, and you're ready to ride. The program includes free access to pedal bikes, and e-bikes are free for the first 30 minutes (e-bikes parked outside of Cycle! racks are charged a $2 convenience fee). Please contact the Sustainability Office with questions.

孨eed to visit an ATM? Skip the fees and bank with Broadview Credit Union, which has an ATM at its on-campus branch, located next to Jonsson Tower. Federally insured by NCUA. 

91传媒 Shop plant sale 

孡ooking to add some greenery to your space? is co-hosting a plant sale with Brookside Nursery, through this Friday, Sept. 6. Plants are available for purchase from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Athletics News

Six home contests highlight a busy weekend for the Thoroughbred teams with fall sports now fully underway. Women volleyball hosts the 91传媒 Classic opening at 5 p.m. on Friday against Brandeis University. On Saturday, the Thoroughbreds will play Plattsburgh State (10 a.m.) and SUNY Cortland (4 p.m.). Field hockey will host SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at 2 p.m., and men soccer will also host Geneseo at 3 p.m. Men soccer wraps the weekend at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Wachenheim Field against Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
