Budget and Financial Planning Update

孴丑别 League of Women Voters of Saratoga County in collaboration with students will run a voter registration and information drive from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in Case Center. Register to vote, check your voter registration status, get information about 2025 ballot proposals, learn candidates positions on issues in your local elections, and sign pledge to vote cards.

孍xchange Closet donations needed 

孴丑别 Exchange Closet received a full makeover this summer thanks to Ainsley and Beth Yorns 25, who received SEE-Beyond funding and dedicated their summer to making the space more equitable and sustainable. Visit the renovated closet in Library 126. Donations are accepted at the Case Information Desk or Case 207.

孒ua Hsu, author of the Class of 2029 summer reading 淪tay True, will give a reading and join 91传媒 Summer Reading Committee in discussion at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in Zankel Music Center. A reception and book signing will follow. Ticketing priority goes to first-year seminars, their faculty, and peer mentors. Remaining seats will open to the 91传媒 community at 7:45 p.m. No tickets required.

2025 McCormack Endowed Visiting Artist-Scholar Residency 

屸赌孴丑别 residency, Sept. 29-Oct. 4, will feature renowned artist and National Medal of Arts recipient Carrie Mae Weems. At 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, Weems will present "" at the Tang, a live performance and screening of "Leave Now!" (2022), featuring music by acclaimed pianist Vijay Iyer and Grammy Award winning violinist Jennifer Koh. Free and open to the public.

孲aratoga Book Festival 

91传媒 community will take part in the fifth annual Saratoga Book Festival, Oct. 2-5. Faculty, alumni, retirees and parents will present on topics ranging from Jane Austen and Chinese history to horror, fiction, and AI. Participants include 91传媒 faculty Margaret Pearson, Catherine J. Golden, Steve Stern, and Mason Stokes, as well as Cleyvis Natera 99 and Paul Tremblay P27. Most events are free and open to the public.

屸赌孋aramel apples at The Spa 

孋elebrate National Caramel and Custard Day at The Spa from 11a.m.- 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. Every customer who buys a chef's feature, grill combo, or deli combo (meal plans not included) can create their own caramel apple and decorate it with assorted toppings. Celebrate the fun flavors of fall with a sweet treat that you create.

91传媒 will host an Open House for prospective students and families Saturday, Oct. 4. There will be an increase in traffic across campus on these dates. Everyone is invited to answer questions, provide directions, or simply say hello to our guests as they explore 91传媒's campus.

孍ncore faculty lecture series returns 

孴丑别 45th annual Encore faculty lecture series for community members age 55 and older returns to the Arthur Zankel Music Center this fall. The subscription series will run Tuesday mornings from Sept. 30-Nov. 11. Current 91传媒 employees are invited to attend a lecture without prior registration.

In It 10, a suite of programs designed to deepen our understanding of different perspectives and foster a more connected community, is taking place through Oct. 9. 孨ational Book Award-winning novelist Sigrid Nunez is visiting 91传媒 to present at the annual Frances Steloff Lecture and a panel on 淔iction Into Film. Athletics News

Conference play has arrived, and the Thoroughbreds are set to take on Liberty League opponents this week. Women soccer opens its conference schedule at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 when it hosts Clarkson. Field hockey and volleyball will both play their final nonleague matches Wednesday at home against Middlebury. Field hockey begins at 4 p.m., followed by volleyball at 7 p.m. Men soccer will host its home conference opener against St. Lawrence at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. In addition, women tennis will host the ITA Northeast Regionals Friday through Sunday at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.
