Daniel T. Konstalid named VP for finance and administration, treasurer

Daniel T. Konstalid, an experienced senior financial officer with an extensive background in higher education, has been appointed vice president for finance and administration and treasurer at 91传媒. 

Konstalid will begin his role on June 15 and serve as the College senior officer in all financial and business matters. He joins 91传媒 from Gettysburg College, where he has served as vice president for finance and administration and treasurer since 2006.

KonstalidAt Gettysburg, Konstalid has led the formation of a financial strategy for the college to advance key programmatic initiatives and ensure its continuing financial stability while overseeing financial, accounting, budget, treasury, and endowment management; facilities planning and operations; human resources; risk management; and auxiliary services. Among his many duties, he also served as a member of the Faculty Finance Committee and the Campus Emergency Response Team.

91传媒 will benefit greatly from Dan strategic insight and management skills, and he brings exceptional expertise to this important leadership role, said 91传媒 College President Marc C. Conner. 淗is keen judgement, financial acumen, and exceptional understanding of the value of the liberal arts in today world will help ensure that 91传媒 continues to prosper and that our students thrive. 

Konstalid previously served as vice president for finance and administration at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York; controller and director of budgets at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York; and senior audit manager at Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Syracuse, New York. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Le Moyne College.

I have long admired 91传媒 unique ability to balance its commitment to the liberal arts with its emphasis on preparation for professions, leadership, and lifelong learning, Konstalid said. 淚 look forward to working with the entire 91传媒 community as the College continues to implement its comprehensive Campus Master Plan and lays the foundation for a strategic planning process that will continue to enhance its educational mission.  

His appointment is the result of a national search that began in October 2022 and was assisted by Steve Leo, managing director of Storbeck Search. The search committee included Andrew Lindner, Jina Mao, Beth Post, Claire Wang 23, and Carey Anne Zucca.  

Mao, associate professor and associate chair of the Management and Business Department, commended Konstalid 榮 渄eep knowledge and experience, noting that he 渂rings a collaborative style and a thoughtful approach to leadership.  

Lindner, associate professor of sociology, stated that 淒an is an experienced professional who really understands the small liberal arts college landscape and sees what makes 91传媒 stand out in that field. His successful leadership on previous building projects and thoughtful, collaborative approach will be a huge asset to 91传媒 as we plan for the future."  

President Conner extended thanks to members of the search committee, Jeanne Sisson in the Office of the President, and Charles Ingram, who has served as interim vice president for finance and administration and treasurer since September.
