Mark Rye, professor of psychology, co-authored a book chapter with alumnae Kristen Schiavo '17 and Anna Tsaligopoulou '19. The chapter, "," was published in "Happiness and Wellness: Biopsychosocial and Anthropological Perspectives."

Jay Rogoff, research associate in English, has received the Lewis P. Simpson Award for his forthcoming book, , to be published by Louisiana State University Press in November. The annual prize honors an outstanding work of American literary criticism. Becoming Poetry discusses the work of two dozen poets, both forebears and contemporaries, to reveal how their poetry operates upon readers. It also explores how the staying power of a poet work and the likelihood of its enjoying a lasting identification with its creator depend on the skilled manipulation of poetic technique.

Shyamala Ratnayeke, visiting assistant professor of biology, co-authored the paper "," which was published in Global Ecology and Conservation. The study was funded by Forest Solutions Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
