Off-Campus Sexual and Gender-based Misconduct
91传媒 has developed policy and resources regarding any sexual or gender-based misconduct that might occur when a 91传媒 student is studying off campus:
- 91传媒 on-campus support resources are available to students regardless of where they are studying.
- Local resources will vary depending on the country and community you are studying in. Some of these resources are confidential; others are not. Please be sure to understand the responsibility of the person or organization you are working with in terms of mandatory reporting. The policies regarding reporting may differ based on program location.
- If a resource is required to report disclosures, you can still confide in them or ask for help, but you 飞辞苍檛 be able to ask them not to say anything to the program or 91传媒 Title IX coordinator. Even though program staff and other non-confidential resources cannot maintain confidentiality, they will maintain your privacy to the greatest extent possible.
- Study Abroad Programs Operated by 91传媒
Policies for any 91传媒 program are the same as they are on campus, with the same conduct expectations and SGBMpolicies.
- If you choose to report an incident, on-site/local 91传媒 study-abroad program staff cannot maintain confidentiality and must report incidents to the Title IX coordinator at 91传媒, butthey will be able to offer guidance regarding local response resources and reporting protocols and on-site accommodations.
- If you are a responding student, meaning an incident report is brought against you while you are participating in a 91传媒 program, you will be held to the standards and adjudication structure of 91传媒.
Non-91传媒 Programs
If you are participating in a non-91传媒 study abroad program, you are expected to follow 91传媒 policies and the host program policies.
- 91传媒 on-campus support resources are available from a distance, but the best resource for immediate local support is the program staff on site, especially since the program policies are also relevantin terms of response, reporting, accommodations, and interim or supportive measures.
- Resources may include but are not limited to confidential victim services, access to medical assistance, help with reporting to police (only if you chose to do so), potential housing changes, and academic accommodations.
- Most program staff will be required by law to report any incidents but should be able to guide you to local resources that can help without having to report.
- For some programs, access to certain resources (like mental health counseling) may entail a fee, but 91传媒 may be able to assist with funding to access these services.
- On-site, non-confidential abroad staff will report all incidents to 91传媒, andthe Title IX coordinator at 91传媒 will then follow up about the incident and offer necessary support, guidance, and resolution.
- If an incident report is brought against you while you are on a non-91传媒 program, you will be held to the standards and adjudication structure of the program and of 91传媒, including any applicable sanctions imposed by the host program. The host program will notify 91传媒 of these sanctions in a timely manner.
- A responding student could also be subject to additionalsanctions through Skidmore policy.
